Diamond producer Alrosa has said that it has discovered a 236-carat rough diamond of "intense yellow-brown colour" at its mine in the northeastern region of Yakutia, Russia. "This is the largest natural colour rough diamond ever found in Russia," Alrosa said. According to preliminary estimates, the diamond is 120-230 million years old.
