2,600-year-old request for wine found on Hebrew inscription

Israel-based researchers have uncovered a hitherto invisible inscription on a pottery shard that was found in 1965. The Hebrew inscription dating back to 600 BC begins with a request for wine along with some oil in exchange for silver. The researchers were able to decipher 50 characters, comprising 17 words, on the back of the shard using advanced imaging technology.
