A 42-year-old man, Sagar Raut, was arrested from Thane for allegedly cheating a woman of ₹2.30 lakh after befriending her on Facebook, police said on Wednesday. Gaining the woman's confidence, Raut asked her to invest money in a financial scheme. After taking ₹2.30 lakh, he allegedly assured her that he will pay her ₹20,000 per month as return on investment.
