Benazir Arfan, a woman leader of the BJP in Assam has reportedly been suspended by the party for organising a prayer meeting against the killings of Rohingya refugees in Myanmar, without discussing it within the party. BJP further alleged that she had used the party's social media forum for seeking support for a programme organised by another organisation.
