Retail sales of automobiles in India surged by 8.31% to 15,21,490 units in August 2022 as against 14,04,704 units in August 2021, the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) said on Thursday. This was driven by an increase in registrations of vehicles across all major segments. Retail sales of two-wheelers also grew by 8.52% to 10,74,266 units this August.
