Canadian doctor to be 3rd Indian-origin woman to go to space

Dr Shawna Pandya, a neurosurgeon working at Canada's Alberta University Hospital has reportedly been selected for a space mission. When she takes off, she would be the third Indian-origin woman to go to space, after Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams. The 32-year-old was one of the two candidates shortlisted from 3,200 people for the 2018 space mission.
