Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, speaking to the media after her Baramati visit, said, "I had a meeting with representatives of different cooperative institutions like banks and sugar mills, and they are extremely happy." She added the cooperative sector had appreciated tax concessions and waiving of overdue arrears. She stated that the government is constantly working to control inflation.
