Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Prisons D Roopa, who had said that AIADMK leader VK Sasikala paid a bribe of ₹2 crore to get special treatment in jail, has been transferred to the Bengaluru Traffic Police. The Karnataka government has also transferred Director General of Prisons HN Satyanarayana Rao, a senior prison official accused of accepting the bribe.
