The DGCA on Tuesday announced that the use of wide-body aircraft at Kozhikode airport during the monsoon season has been banned. This comes days after Dubai-Calicut Air India Express flight overshot the runway at the airport and broke into two pieces. The accident claimed lives of 18 people, including both the pilots of the aircraft.
