Dwarf planet Ceres is an 'ocean world' with salty water under surface: Study

Ceres, the largest object in asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, is an "ocean world", a study found. Analysis of data from NASA's Dawn spacecraft revealed there's a 40-kilometre deep reservoir of salt-enriched water under its surface. Scientists said the "mysterious" bright spots on Ceres are salt crusts left behind by this water, which percolated up to surface and evaporated.
