Extinct sea cow found buried beneath Russian beach
short by Gaurav Shroff / on Tuesday, 21 November, 2017
The skeleton of a Steller's sea cow, which went extinct in the late 1700s, has been discovered on a Siberian beach. The species is named after Georg Steller, an 18th-century German naturalist.
