Facebook has appointed former PayPal executive Stephane Kasriel as its Payments VP. Kasriel was previously freelance marketplace Upwork's CEO. Facebook has created a new unit for all its payments-related projects, reportedly being called 'Facebook Financial' internally, which will be headed by co-creator of Facebook's Libra cryptocurrency project David Marcus. Kasriel will be working under Marcus.
