Facebook on Wednesday said it suspended fake accounts and pages from several countries that were posting spam about the US elections to gain clicks and money. The networks originated in Myanmar, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Albania and the Philippines among others. A Facebook official said the takedown was different from earlier instances since these were primarily about financial gains, not political.
