Reacting to reports of cash crunch in some states, Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram said that the "ghost of demonetisation has come back to haunt the government/RBI". He said, "RBI's statement is unsatisfactory. If RBI...supplied sufficient cash, it must explain why there is a cash shortage." He further asked why ATMs are still being recalibrated 17 months after demonetisation.
