Presenting the Union Budget 2018 in Parliament, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday announced ₹56,619 crore for SC welfare and ₹39,135 crore for ST welfare. Every block with more than 50% ST population and at least 20,000 tribal people will have an 'Ekalavya' model residential school by 2022, he added.
