Helicopters and thermal imaging equipment are being deployed in New Zealand to search for lost dogs. Thousands of dollars have also been donated in the search for lost dogs, in three separate cases in 2018. Notably, New Zealand has high rates of pet ownership, with over 60% of houses in the country having at least one pet.
