American multinational IT giant IBM has secured a patent for a smartwatch that can be transformed into a tablet. IBM, in the patent, explained this may be achieved as "a set of auxiliary display panels may be packed in layers behind a primary display panel." The patent revealed the inventor of the technology as Ranjeeth Pasupathi from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
