India has reported 5,379 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours and 27 more deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry. This comes a day after the country recorded 4,417 COVID-19 cases, the lowest since June 2022. Active cases in the country dropped to 50,594, while the daily positivity rate stood at 1.67%.
