Three-time world champions India thrashed three-time world champions Australia by 100 runs in their opening match of the Under-19 World Cup in Tauranga, New Zealand, on Sunday. Earlier, India had become the first team to score over 300 runs in an Under-19 World Cup match against Australia. This was the Indian team's seventh consecutive win against Australia in Youth ODIs.
