The Indian women's hockey team defeated two-time champions China in sudden death on Sunday to clinch the Hockey Asia Cup for the second time. The match had ended in a 1-1 stalemate after regulation time and India went on to win the match 5-4 in the penalty shootout. The Indian women's team had last won the Asia Cup in 2004.
