Indonesia has launched late-stage human trials of CoronaVac, a vaccine made by China's Sinovac Biotech, that will involve over 1,600 patients in the country. Once the vaccine clears the trials successfully, state-owned Bio Farma may begin production from January, President Joko Widodo said. The vaccine candidate is among just a few in the world to enter Phase 3 clinical trials.
