The Supreme Court has observed that tax evasion exists in India and it is a "shame" that citizens don't want to pay taxes. It made the statement while asking why there was no objection on the government's decision to make Aadhaar mandatory for PAN. "542 persons are sitting in Parliament, why do they not object to it?" the bench asked.
