The UK said it's "ludicrous" to suggest that author Salman Rushdie was responsible for the attack on him. This comes after Iran suggested that Rushdie had "exposed himself to...anger and rage of the people" by insulting Islamic sanctities and "crossing the red lines of over 1.5 billion Muslims". Rushdie was stabbed by a 24-year-old man in New York on Friday.
