Two Durga Puja pandals in Kolkata have selected demonetisation as their theme this year. Mitra Sanghati's pandal has announced plans to depict the 'suffering caused to people' due to demonetisation and feature a tree with prints of banned ₹500 and ₹1,000 currency as its leaves. Another pandal in North 24 Parganas district will feature an out-of-money ATM machine.
