Moon's interior may contain 'unusually high' amount of water

A recent US-based study claims trapped water might be present in 'unusually high' amounts in the Moon's interior regions. These ancient deposits are believed to consist of glass beads formed by the explosive eruption of magma coming from the deep lunar interior billions of years ago. Data from India's Chandrayaan-1 lunar orbiter was used to study Moon's water-rich volcanic material.
