Maharashtra Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray has written to Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, raising his objections to the draft Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) notification 2020. Thackeray said it "fails to align with the Paris agreement" and poses a threat to sustainable growth. He said the voice of citizens and "unheard voice of Mother Nature" must be heard by the Centre.
