short by Saloni Tandon / on Friday, 21 July, 2017
Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, who were the first humans to land on the moon, left behind over 106 items on the lunar surface. The items include tools, the astronauts' space gear, and trash including human waste. A plaque with the words, "Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the Moon," is also there.
