New 3D vision discovered by placing 3D glasses on insects

UK-based researchers have discovered a differently evolved form of stereo vision in mantises by attaching a pair of 3D glasses on the insects' eyes. On showing video of a potential prey, the bugs appeared to approach 3D image processing in a similar way as humans. However, on showing dot patterns used to test 3D vision in humans, they reacted differently.
