New CBI chief could be named by Jan 20: Centre tells SC
The Centre told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that all issues relating to the selection of the new CBI chief will be cleared very soon and the appointment could be announced by January 20. Earlier, the court had asked the government to explain why the panel has not met so far to decide on the new CBI Director's appointment.
