In her letter to the Chief Ministers of all states, Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi has suggested that police officials should be re-trained for handling sexual offence cases. Gandhi also recommended the constitution of special cells to deal with sexual offence cases involving children in a timely manner. She sought suggestions to reduce crimes against women and children.
