Former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar scored his first One Day International century on September 9, 1994, while playing in his career's 78th ODI. Facing Australia in the Singer World Series in Colombo, Sachin's 130-ball 110 included eight fours and two sixes. Driven by Sachin's ton, India won the match by 31 runs and later went on to win the tournament.
