The Supreme Court has directed Mercedes-Benz India to deposit ₹10.25 lakh over a faulty airbag case. The fine is related to a 2006 accident case in which the airbags of a Mercedes-Benz car failed to open on collision with a container truck. The collision had caused injuries to the Managing Director of electrical company Crompton Greaves.
