Scientists image electron movement in graphene for 1st time
short by Gaurav Shroff / on Friday, 28 April, 2017
In a first, researchers at the University of Melbourne have imaged how electrons move in graphene sheets. Scientists used a quantum probe based on an atomic-sized 'colour centre' found only in diamonds to image the flow of electric currents in 2D graphene. The technique could be used to understand material imperfections and electron behaviour in various technologies, researchers said.
