Switzerland's financial regulator Financial Market Supervisory Authority has closed down the unauthorised providers of the fake cryptocurrency "E-Coin". According to the regulator, developers of E-Coin had accepted about $4.2 million in public deposits without holding the required banking licence. The regulator said it has also launched bankruptcy proceedings against the legal entities involved.
