The Tamil Nadu government has initiated a process to enact a policy on the laundry of 'infectious' hospital linen. With the policy, Tamil Nadu will become the first state in the country to have separate guidelines on the issue. The interests of traditional washermen would be taken into consideration and protected, said an official.
