Wave structure in Saturn rings imaged by NASA probe

NASA's Cassini spacecraft, the first man-made object to go between the Saturn's planet-ring gap, has captured a spiral density wave structure in the rings. The waves result from the same process that creates spiral galaxies, NASA said. In the rings, every second wave crest is the same spiral arm which has encircled the entire planet multiple times, NASA added.
