Russian President Vladimir Putin has welcomed China's willingness to play a "constructive role" in bringing an end to the war in Ukraine. "We are grateful for the balanced line of (China) in connection with the events taking place in Ukraine," Putin said. Putin also called Chinese President Xi Jinping his "good old friend". Jinping arrived in Russia on Monday.
