A 60-year-old woman was trampled to death by an elephant in Madarihat area of Alipurduar district in West Bengal, a forest official said on Tuesday. The woman fell down on a lane near her residence and came face-to-face with the elephant, which was on a rampaging spree after straying from Jaldapara forest on Monday night, the official added.
