A study conducted by researchers at the University of Greenwich, UK, has claimed that two pints of beer are better at providing pain relief than the analgesic paracetamol. Researchers stated that blood alcohol content of approximately 0.08% causes an elevation of human pain threshold along with a reduction in the pain intensity ratings.
