36 cases filed against pro-Kannada activists over Hindi row

As many as 36 cases have been filed against activists from the Narayana Gowda faction of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike for blackening Hindi text on the Metro stations' signboards in Bengaluru. In all the cases, the police booked the activists for destroying public property. However, the activists claimed that in some cases they had been wrongly booked for promoting enmity.
