Apple on Thursday lost a 2011 lawsuit and was ordered to pay ₹13.5 crore to 20,000 of its employees at California stores for failing to give adequate breaks and timely wages. The settlement will result in the payment of about ₹6,400 to each employee. Initially filed by four employees, the lawsuit expanded to include over 20,000 employees by 2014.
