Zambian President Edgar Lungu has directed the country's military to help fight the spread of cholera, officials said. All public places that pose a risk of further transmission would be closed until they met hygiene standards. The outbreak, which began in September this year, has claimed 41 lives in the capital city of Lusaka and affected more than 1,500 people.
