Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has revealed he asked Varun Dhawan not to sleep at night prior to the shooting of some scenes in 'October'. "A couple of scenes with Varun required extensive emotional [outbursts], a performance that showed him quite exhausted," he added. Shoojit further said, "[The scenes needed] depth and weight in his overall demeanor...coupled with a tired voice."
