Brain implant lets paralysed man move hands with thought

A world-first procedure has allowed a fully paralysed man to control his hand using just his thoughts. The 'neuroprosthesis' technique allows tetraplegic people to reach and grasp things using electrical implants connected to their brain. The patient aged 53, who lost his motor movements eight years ago in a bike accident, is now able to drink and eat without assistance.
