Charles Darwin ate exotic animals like owl, hawk

When English naturalist Charles Darwin was a student at Cambridge, he formed the Glutton Club, which met on a weekly basis to eat "birds and beasts, which were before unknown to human palate". As part of the club, he ate exotic animals including a hawk, an owl, and an unnamed chocolate-coloured rodent. Darwin's 208th birth anniversary was observed on Sunday.
