A farmer in the Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh was mistakenly handed over an electricity bill of ₹76.7 crore for the month of September. The electricity department suspended two employees and said the error was caused after his electricity metre was changed in August. Meanwhile, a new bill of ₹1,820 has been generated and given to the farmer.
