India's ODI captain MS Dhoni became the fastest wicketkeeper-batsman to score 9,000+ runs in ODIs, during the third ODI against New Zealand at Mohali on Sunday. He achieved the feat in 244 innings, to beat Australian Adam Gilchrist's record of reaching 9,000+ runs in 261 innings. Dhoni is the sixth-fastest player overall to cross the 9,000-run mark in ODIs.
