As per reports, Mukesh Singh, convicted in the Nirbhaya’s gang rape was paid Rs 40,000 by maker Leslie Udwin for his interview for the documentary "India's Daughter". An investigation revealed that Singh had demanded Rs 2 Lakh initially. However, he later negotiated for Rs 40,000. The money was reportedly delivered to Mukesh’s family.
