A dog named Abbie Girl, belonging to an Australian breed, has the Guinness World Record for surfing a distance of 107.2 metres at Ocean Beach Dog Beach in San Diego, United States. The dog established the record for 'longest wave surfed by a dog in open water' in October 2011, at the annual 'Surf City Surf Dog event'.
