India continues to remain the largest contributor to cancer deaths at 22 lakh every year, out of the global figure of 88 lakh. According to doctors, 70% of Indian cancer patients consult the doctor at the terminal stage. Smoking, alcohol and unhealthy diet are the leading factors, with lung, breast, colon, prostate and stomach being the most frequent cancer types.
